About the Wakefield Motel

While in Colonial Beach, stay at the Wakefield Motel "On the Point" along the Potomac River. Located in a quiet residential area, the motel features a pier for fishing, crabbing and relaxing. Accommodations include king, queen, and full size beds with kitchenette, air-conditioning and cable TV. Nearby Castlewood Beach offers fun in the sun. Castlewood Park, next to the public boat ramp on Monroe Bay, features a playground, picnic benches and barbecues. We are also located approximately 1 mile from the Riverboat on the Potomac.

 

About the Northern Neck

Virginia's Northern Neck is only 65 miles from either the US or VA state capital. A Historyland that includes Washington's Birthplace at Wakefield National Monument and Lee's Birthplace at Stratford Hall. The Northern Neck offers boating, fishing and recreation in a casual, charming atmosphere. Local attractions include the Ingleside Plantation and Winery, the Westmoreland Berry Farm and of course, the Town of Colonial Beach on the Potomac River.
